The Southeast Lauderdale Lady Tigers avenged an earlier loss to Enterprise with a 12-4 win on Friday night.

The homestanding Lady Tigers scored five runs in the bottom of the third inning and added three runs in each of their final two at-bats to secure the win.

"I thought the girls play great," said Southeast coach Nathan Stamper. "We had a tough loss at Enterprise. They beat us 4-3 in eight innings, so to bounce back is a great feeling for the girls."

Southeast scored in the first inning to take an early lead.

Abby Havard doubled and Paige Sheppard brought in the Lady Tigers' first run of the game with a sacrifice fly to left field.

Southeast added five runs in the third inning to build a big lead over the Lady Bulldogs.

Laci Maxwell started the rally with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Meagan Myrick.

Havard singled and Sheppard brought in a run with a double to make the score 2-0.

Brittany Pounders reached on an error to bring in another run and Taylor Bailey followed with a single to load the bases.

Cortney cleared the bases with a three-run double to give Southeast a 6-0 lead.

Bailey kept the Enterprise bats quiet through the first three innings as she allowed just one hit and struck out six Lady Bulldogs.

In the fourth inning, Enterprise finally caught up with Bailey and scored four runs to get back into the game.

Haley Brooke Smith doubled to start the inning and Bayleigh Creel followed with a single.

Morgan Swancey brought in Smith with an infield single to make the score 6-1.

After Summer Robinson walked, Bethany Volking delivered a two-run single. Tiffany Taylor added an RBI single to cut the lead down to 6-4.

The Lady Tigers stretched their lead back out in the bottom of the fifth inning with thee runs with two outs in the inning.

Bailey singled and Harper doubled to start the rally. An error kept the inning alive for Southeast and allowed two runs to score to make the score 8-4.

An RBI single by Maxwell stretched the lead to 9-4 at the end of five innings.

The Lady Tigers added three more runs in the sixth inning to secure the win.

Sheppard and Pounder each singled to open the inning and Bailey had a two-run double for the Lady Tigers.

Tiffany Roulier brought in the final run of the inning with a single to make the score 12-4.

Meanwhile, Bailey continued to pitch well for Southeast and allowed only three runners to reach bases over the final three innings to pick up the 12-4 victory.

Southeast improved to 18-7 for the year with the win and will host Quitman on Tuesday in its final regular season home game.
