STARKVILLE, Miss. – After receiving their ninth postseason bid under Head Coach Sharon Fanning, the Mississippi State women’s basketball team (16-14, 4-10 Southeastern Conference) will open play in the 2008 Women’s National Invitation Tournament Monday evening.

MSU plays the winner of Thursday evening’s Southern Mississippi/Arkansas-Little Rock contest. Should USM advance, MSU would play in Hattiesburg at 7 p.m. Monday. If UALR prevails, MState would host the Lady Trojans at 7 p.m. Monday.

Should the Lady Bulldogs host, tickets will be available through the MSU Athletic Ticket Office for $7 (general admission) and $5 for students with a valid ID. Tickets go on sale at the Humphrey Coliseum Ticket Office at 6 p.m. Monday.
