My grandfather, John D. Meador, was one of several railroad men that worked with Jimmie Rodgers and had the honor of helping move the locomotive to his monument when it was on the interstate. There were pictures taken of these men at the time. Our family’s were lost in a fire. I am hoping other families may have photographs.
