A special thanks for airport officials

I am sure many people in our area are aware of what an excellent airport facility we have located in Meridian.

Having been a resident for 45 years (transplanted), I have never flown in or out of Meridian. However, while preparing for the recently held South Central Shrine Association Convention in our town, I was privileged to work with Tom Williams and Chris Sutton. Both gentlemen closed a runway twice so we could have our Motor Corps drill competition on the runway, which is the best surface I can remember in the 36 years of competition that I have been involved in.

We citizens should make use of these wonderful things that make my town so great. Thanks, Mr. Williams and Chris, for a job well done. Also, a special thanks goes to our friends and members who joined in and helped set up the field, etc.
