Due to increasing budget restraints, the Meridian Public School District announced Tuesday that it will not offer summer school for grades 6-11 to earn Carnegie units or for promotion to the next grade.

Meridian High School will offer a summer credit recovery program for MPSD seniors only.

Oakland Heights, Parkview, T.J. Harris, West Hills and Northwest will host federally funded summer transition programs for struggling students.

These programs are not for promotion purposes; rather, they focus on skill building for the next grade level.
