MPD Sgt. J.C. Lewis said Monday afternoon a tip Oct. 30 McNeil may have been at a relatives house in Des Moines, Iowa, proved to be a valuable bit of information.

“The same day we put that information on the National Crime Information Center system, he was apprehended by local authorities in Iowa,” said Lewis. “He was the last suspect we were seeking in this case.”

Authorities with the MPD recently traveled to Des Moines to transport McNeil here to face the charges.
