• 10 a.m.-4 p.m. - The Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library will hold a fall book sale. Customers may fill a grocery bag with books for only $2 every day of the sale. The Friends of the Library hope to see many people there.

• 11:30 a.m. - The Lauderdale County Republican Women will hold its monthly meeting on the second floor of Weidmann’s. The guest speaker for the month will be George Thomas, Ward 1 Councilman. Everyone is invited to attend.

• 3:30 p.m. - Friends will gather at Sandy Ridge Bluegrass Park for a day of fellowship, food, pickin’ and grinnin’. Bring a covered dish for supper at 6 p.m. then hang around for a wide variety of music - bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, gospel, hymns, waltzes, ballads with possible banjo, mandolin, guitar, dulcimer, and fiddle players.
