The talents of 10 young ladies will be showcased at the annual Fashionetta 2007 tonight in the McCain Theater on the campus of Meridian Community College.

Sponsored by Omicron Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and the STM (Service to Mankind) Foundation Inc., the event will get under way at 6 p.m. “Lights, Camera, AKA” is the theme. Proceeds will go toward the scholarship program to award high school graduates from area schools.

The program includes three categories: Petite, Junior and Senior Fashionetta. The following young ladies will participate: Phoebe Simone Bryant, daughter of Lisa Mercer and George Bryant Jr.; Jasmine Perneicious Bush, daughter of Beverly and Antonnio Bush; Tinija Norcy Conner, daughter of Rachel Smith and Joseph Hoye; Nichola Sharon Crenshaw, daughter of Emma and James Cole; Jessica Fielder, daughter of Deborah Fielder; Christina Gaddis, daughter of Yolanda and Reginald Gaddis; Sharelean Elvon Moore, daughter of Cherry Coleman and Johnny McNeil; Taylor Nicol Smith, daughter of Glossie and Larry Smith; and Jayna Tunisia Trotter, daughter of Cynthia Armstrong and Johnny Trotter Jr.; Aubrey Williams, daughter of Cynthia and Billy Williams;

Tickets are $10, adults, and $5, students, in advance; $12, adults, and $7, students, at the door.
