Lois B. Pipkin
Graveside services for Lois Brown Pipkin will be held Saturday, at 2 p.m., at Meridian Memorial Park with Bro. Gary Blair of Central Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Meridian Memorial park Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pipkin, of Columbus, Ga., went home to be with the Lord Jesus, whom she loved very much, on Dec. 8, 2010. Lois was a native of Meridian and a former member of South Side Baptist Church. Mrs. Pipkin taught GA’s and RA’s for several years and also sang in the choir. She was a retired registered nurse and she worked in local hospitals in Jackson at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital and St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.
Ms. Pipkin is survived by two sons: Rev. Keith Stephens and his wife, Pam of Monroe, La. and Otto L. (Leslie) Stephens III and his wife, Linda of Columbus, Ga.; seven grandchildren: Katie Lee and her husband, Jarod of McComb, John Philip Stephens of Shreveport, La., Andrew Stephens and his wife, Paige of Monroe, La., Benjamin, Nathan, Kristen and Jonathan Stephens of Columbus, Ga.; one great-grandchild, Maddux P. Lee; five sisters: Pauline Caraway and Esther Northam of Meridian, Carolyn Moulds of Florence, Dianne Dennard of Macon, Ga. and Sherry Toole of Watkinsville, Ga.; two brothers: Gene Brown and Glenwood Martin, both of Meridian; and, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James V. Pipkin; parents, Selby H. Brown and Helen Goldman Brown; and, three brothers: Herbert, Ronnie and Kenneth Brown.
