Meridian Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa Nu Upsilon chapter has scheduled a seminar, Enslaved: A Look at Human Trafficking, on Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the MCC Dulaney Room, Webb Hall.

Two seminars will be presented by Jody Dyess, director of the Say Something Organization. The professional development seminar will begin at 2 p.m.; the student seminar is set for 5 p.m.

Dyess will discuss the influence of the Internet on human traffickers. During the student seminar, he will teach the warning signs and resources to recognize when recruitment is happening. For the professional development session, he will equip teachers and school administrators with the tools for recognizing signs of sex exploitation of minors.
