MCC offers job shadowing opportunities

Meridian Community College Physical Therapist Assistant Program Instructor Jenny Bryan explains the workings of knee ligaments to Lamar School student Paula Gast as Gast was visiting on campus as a part of a job shadowing activity. It was the first time for the high school senior to get a hands-on look at a career in physical therapy. In addition to a campus visit, Gast observed MCC students at clinical sites. “This has been a fun experience. Mrs. Bryan has shown me a lot in a short time,” Gast said. Wednesday’s event marked the fourth year Bryan has conducted job shadowing sessions. Gast, who has taken classes at MCC through dual enrollment, plans to pursue a degree in kinesiology. Bryan is also the academic coordinator of clinical education in the college’s PTA program.
