William J. Harford

Graveside services for William “Bill” Justin Harford will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. James Ruffin officiating.  Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Harford, 62, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at his residence. Bill was a four-year graduate of Southern Mississippi State University. He worked at East Mississippi State Hospital as a dietary for more than 15 years. He is a member of Central Baptist Church.  He loved watching Mississippi State football and was an avid bowler.  Picking up cans and listening to the ‘50s through the ‘70s music were his pastimes.

Survivors include his daughter, Christie Baker and husband, Shawn, of Pulaski; his sons, Donald Harford of Meridian, and Steve Harford and wife, Donna, of Collinsville; seven grandchildren, Rachel Harford of Meridian, Briana and Mia Harford of Collinsville; step-grandchildren, Heather and Tyler Baker, Holley and Chloe Benson, all of Pulaski; his aunt, Mary Cumberland of Meridian; and his uncle, Billy Henderson of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Barbara Harford

Pallbearers will be the Queen City Bowling League Team: Richard Pigford, Jason Peirce, Tommy Brillo, Parker  Mcurley,  Allen Popcik and M. A. Copeland.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home, and again on Monday from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
