Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Delars Frederick Faison Benoman Sr., 57, 2529 28th Ave., Meridian. Benoman is also charged with no liability insurance and disregard of traffic device.

• DUI, first offense – Jamie L. Boardman, 22, 112 Barnbridge Crossing, Canton.

• Disorderly conduct – Milton Lewis Campbell, 61, 1801 24th St., Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Sarah Elizabeth Pearson, 31, 29 Commerce St., Chunky. Pearson is also charged with no license tag and disturbance of a family.

• Armed carjacking – Lemar Walker, 21, 5051 32nd Ave., Meridian. Walker is also charged with kidnapping and fleeing and eluding in a motor vehicle.

• DUI, first offense – Keishunn M. Webb, 24, 194 Lee Road, Opelika, Ala. Webb is also charged with disregard of traffic device, driving with a suspended license and no liability insurance.

• Disorderly conduct – Ledarian A. Coleman, born in 1994, 2015 Mosby Road, Meridian.

• Interferring with police – Jimithan L. Lanier, born in 1995, 2015 Mosby Road, Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Quadarius S. Hall, born in 1991, 2809 St. Luke St., Meridian.

• DUI – Renardo Pruitt, born in 1983, 3820 Ninth St., Meridian.

• Simple assault, threat – Timothy Jordan, born in 1991, 1311 23rd St., Meridian.

• Shooting in the city – Dentrey J. Jones, born in 1989, 2207 34th Ave., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Meghann Sheppard, born in 1978, 2026 27th Avenue, Meridian.

• DUI – Deborah A. Harris, born in 1969, 4017 34th Ave., Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Chelsey A. Loper, born in 1985, 11321 Road 723, Meridian. Loper is also charged with assault on an officer.

• Shoplifting – Alicia Reid, born in 1981, homeless.

• DUI – Carlton Edwards, born in 1983, 5667 Cooper Circle, Meridian.

• DUI – Michael L. Shadwick, born in 1982, 535 C St., Meridian.

• Trespassing, two counts – Kamaji R. Cole, born in 1994, 7100 Highway 80 West, Meridian.

• DUI – Jimmy Mitchell, born in 1987, 1930 Coleman Road, Meridian.

• DUI – Charles E. Bishop, born in 1963, 139 Fairview Circle, Meridian.

• Simple assault – Josh Dew, born in 1988, 4088 Bailey Acres Circle, Bailey.

Residential Burglaries

• 1900 block of 22nd Avenue, Meridian.

• 2900 block of Davis Street, Meridian.

• 2200 block of Martin Luther King Drive, Meridian.

Shootings

• 2000 block of 30th Avenue, Meridian.

• 2000 block of 24th Avenue, Meridian.

Meridian Police responded to 8 shots-fired call but when officers arrived on the scene there was not any evidence found to support the call.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• Probation violation/parole – Ricardo L. Brewster, 33, Campground Trailer Park, Meridian.

• Failure to appear (justice court) – Tina Broadway, 29, 210 Center Street, Enterprise.

• Simple assault, domestic – Mary F. Brown, 24, 107 21st Place, Meridian.

• DUI, second offense – Gregory O. Cross, 42, 5203 David Lane, Meridian. Cross is also charged with careless driving and disregard of traffic device.

• Disorderly conduct – Shirley Mea Harrington, 53, 5203 David Lane, Meridian.

• Failure to pay (justice court) – Henry Franklin Holley Jr., 41, 8025 Old Eighth Street Road, Meridian.

• Embezzlement – Deondray Levontae Hopson, 22, 1921 Russell Mount Gilead Road, Meridian.

• Receiving stolen property – Hanna Samantha Iy, 23, 1296 Mount Pleasant Road, DeKalb.

• Probation violation/parole – Michael Dewayne Jones, 26, 2356 Highway 496, Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Raymond Lafette Langston, 35, 1674 Willow Lake Road, Toomsuba. Langston is also charged with driving without headlights and possession of marijuana in a vehicle.

• Sexual battery – Alejandro Lopez Mendoza, 26, 510 Johnson Lane, Meridian. Mendoza is also charged with two counts of lustful touching of a child and being held for investigation.

• Contempt for child support – Eddie Lavon Mosley, 39, 514 Old Country Club Road, Meridian.

• Felon in possession of a firearm, two counts – Stephen Todd Russell, 35, 4734 Crescent Lake Road, Meridian.

• Bad check, felony – Wanda Skinner Smith, 49, 616 Columbus Ave., Philadelphia.

• Burglary of dwelling, house – Angela Nichole Walker, 40, 3674 Crescent Lake Drive, Meridian.
