Williams, Rush

MERIDIAN —     Jill Rush of Meridian and Leslie Williams of Meridian were married Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at Union Baptist Church with Dr. Marcus Finch officiating.

    Jill is the daughter of Mr. Hubert Lowry Rush III and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Howard Chapman Jr.; Leslie is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Larry Williams.

    Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Earl Speed of Hattiesburg and Mrs. Joyce Rush and the late Dr. Hubert Lowry Rush Jr. of Meridian.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Mathis of Quitman and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Williams of Meridian.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Mrs. Angie Boatner, vocalist and pianist.

    Given in marriage by her father, Mr. Hubert Lowry Rush III, the bride wore an Allure bridal strapless ivory gown of organza and lace, accented at the waistline with a pearl and sequin starburst.

    Maid of honor was Ramey Rush Hardin of Oxford.

    Lily Grace Pigott and Lexi Noel Watson, both of Meridian, served as flower girls.

    Dudley Williams of Meridian was best man.

    Ushers were Lowry Rush IV of Meridian and Brent Hardin of Oxford.

    Program attendants were Mary Catherine Dean, London Rae Meitzler and Brooksie Alise Speed.

    A reception was held at Holiday Inn, Meridian, following the ceremony.

    After a honeymoon in Nassau, Bahamas, the couple resides in Meridian, where Jill is employed at Rush Foundation Hospital and Leslie practices veterinary medicine.
