Harper, Tumey

MERIDIAN —     Rayle D. Tumey of Meridian and Troy D. Harper of Meridian were married Saturday, June 8, 2013, at the MSU Riley Center, with the Rev. Steve Winstead officiating.

    Parents of the couple are Lisa Palmer of Meridian, James Harper of Tupelo and Melissa Freeman of Tuscaloosa, Ala.

    Grandparents of the bride are Ann Palmer of Meridian and the late Larry Palmer, the late Robert L. Tumey, Sr. of Little Rock and Roxanne Tumey and the late Dee Tumey and Bobby and Lesa Tumey of West Point.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Ardis Harper and James (Hoss) Harper of Meridian, the late Tom Sanders of Tennessee and the late Lorene Doner of Meridian.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Chris Young.

    The bride was given in marriage by Darrell Thomas and David McDonald.

    Maid of honor was Brantley Smith of Meridian.

    Other attendants were Taylor McDaniel, Bailey Smith and Ashley Newell, all of Meridian, Haylee Hamilton of Columbus, Aundria Carpenter of Hamilton, Ohio, and Kiersten Tumey of Quitman.

    Flowergirl and ring bearer were Lily Smith and Paxton Smith, both of Meridian.

    Logan Tucker of Meridian was best man.

    Groomsmen were Brad Landrum and Joey Boswell, both of Meridian, and John David Tumey of Quitman.

    A reception was held at the MSU Riley Center following the ceremony.

    After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple resides in Meridian.
