Williamson, Taylor

MERIDIAN —     Anna Taylor and John Thomas Williamson of Houston, Texas, were married Saturday, March 22, 2014, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Dawson and Collin Taylor officiating.

    Parents of the couple are the Rev. and Mrs. William Taylor of Longview, Texas, and Judge and Mrs. Lester Williamson Jr.

    Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Lauren Schverak of Fredericksburg, Texas, the late Mr. and Mrs. Murray Smith and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Taylor.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Judge and Mrs. Lester Williamson Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Giles.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Wayne Ashley, soloist.

    Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless silk taffeta gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, an empire band adorned with a brooch and a full skirt with a chapel-length train.

    Matron of honor was Kristin Hepworth of Ft. Worth, Texas. Maid of honor was Meredith Davis of Houston.

    Other attendants were Christy Holecek, Melissa Walton, Abby Taylor and Catherine Burnham, all of Houston; Katie Moore of Dallas; Jenna Middleton of Shreveport, La.; and Virginia Williamson of Meridian.

    Riley and Paige Taylor, nieces of the bride, were honorary flower girls.

    The father of the bridegroom served as best man.

    Groomsman and ushers were John Harlin of Nashville, Tenn.; Vaughan Waters of Hattiesburg; Drew Moffett of Meridian; Les Williamson of Washington, D.C.; Lane Rush of New Orleans, La.; and Wright Williamson, Brett Emerson and Erik Gebhardt, all of Houston.

    Program attendant was Meggie Evans.

    The reception was held at The Jr. League of Houston following the ceremony.

    After a honeymoon in Auguilla, the couple resides in Houston.
