MERIDIAN —     Emily Ann Brown of Ashville, Ala., and Lance Murphy Goodman of Collinsville were married Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Mountain View Gardens and Ballroom in Springville, Ala., with Rev. Dr. James Sampley officiating.

    Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Brown of Ashville, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Murphy Goodman of Collinsville.

    Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne Glenn of Collinsville, Mr. Rudolph Moore of Ashville, Ala., and the late Mrs. Matred Moore.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mrs. Elizabeth Craven and the late Mr. James M. Craven, Mrs. Angieleen Goodman and the late Mr. Ben A. Goodman.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Mrs. Wava McClain, pianist; Miss Christy McClain, violinist; and Mrs. Yvonne Davis, Mr. Alan Furr and Mrs. Sandra Furr, vocalists.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father, Glenn Brown.

    She wore a silk tissue taffeta gown with a drop waistline and full ballroom skirt. The skirt featured swag and cascades with each swag in “1956” style pleating. The ballroom skirt fell into a cathedral train.

    Matron of honor was Mrs. Jessica Evans of Ashville, Ala.

    Other attendants were Mrs. Jennifer Brown, Mrs. Lauren Smith, Mrs. Kelcie Cross, Miss Sarah Hyatt, Mrs. Rachael Layfield, Miss Hanna Moore, and Mrs. Emily Morton.

    Junior bridesmaid was Miss Mallie Hudson.

    Miss Mabrey Parker of Collinsville was flower girl.

    Mr. Murphy Goodman of Collinsville was best man.

    Groomsmen and ushers were Mr. Eric Brown, Mr. Luke Goodman, Mr. Matt Smith, Mr. Dusty Wellman, Mr. Dam Dulaney, Mr. Justin Gentry, and Mr. Daniel Roberts.

    Lane Moore of Collinsville was ring bearer.

    Program attendant was Erin Johnson.

    A reception was held at Mountain View Ballroom following the ceremony.

    After a honeymoon in Sandestin, Fla., the couple resides in Collinsville.
