Ellis, McKelvey

MERIDIAN —     Grace Elizabeth McKelvey and Monte Dunn Ellis, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Rhett Goode Payne III officiating.

    Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Michael David McKelvey and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Dunn Ellis, all of Meridian.

    Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Jean Stringer Norton of Mobile, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Alexander McKelvey Sr.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. George Alexander Evans Jr. of Meridian and the late Mr. and Mrs. John David Ellis.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Barry Germany, piano and organ; Richard Gaddis, trumpet; Stephanie Maisel, cello; Ty Maisel, violin; Susie Johnson, flute; and Matt McMurrin, vocalist.

    Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory French lace gown with cap sleeves, featuring an ivory taffeta sash with crystals and pearls.

    Maid of honor was Alice Katherine McKelvey of Meridian.

    Other attendants were Emily Marie Ashworth of Dothan, Ala.; Morgan Coleman Beverly of Mobile; Hannah Marie Ficarino of Mobile; Margaret Faye Hayes of Birmingham, Ala.; Katelin Marie Reed of Mobile; and Mary Ellen Whittle of Newton.

    Alexandria Taylor Norton of Spanish Fort, Ala. was junior bridesmaid.

    Terry Dunn Ellis of Meridian was best man.

    Groomsmen and ushers were Jonathan Evans Ellis of Meridian; Joshua Hadley Ellis of Meridian; Stephen Gordon Hayes of Birmingham; Robert Moyer Kinney of Oxford; William David McKelvey of Meridian; Lane Adam Price of Meridian; and Adam Miller Shields of Lookout Mountain, Ga.

    Program attendants were Anna Beth Aldvidge, Truett Bott, Rachel Mason, McKenna Sims, Emma Kate Stephenson and Hannah Beth Stephenson.

    After a honeymoon in Seaside, Fla., the couple resides in Birmingham.
