Blazich, Green
Allison Elizabeth Green and Daniel Francis Blazich, both of Hoover, Ala., were married on Oct. 6, 2007, at the York United Methodist Church in York, Ala., with the Rev. Chris Harris of Clearwater Community Church in Birmingham, Ala., officiating. A scripture reading and prayer was given by the Rev. Tommy Ray, also of Clearwater Community Church.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Allen “Beany” Green, Jr. of York, Ala., Lt. Col. and Mrs. Michael Wayne Glass of San Antonio, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Charles Blazich of Salem, N.H.
Grandparents of the bride are Laverne Green of York, Ala., and the late Thomas Allen Green Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Melvin B. Bell of Flomaton, Ala.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Jacqueline Humkey of Houston, Texas, and the late Col. Marion Humkey and Charmaine Blazich of San Antonio, Texas, and the late Louis Blazich.
Gathering music for the ceremony was provided by the First Presbyterian Church Festival Choir, under the direction of John Brown. Mr. Brown also performed The Lord’s Prayer especially arranged by Kathy Sipe.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory strapless gown with a cathedral length train. The bride’s veil was hand made by her mother.
Sarah Allison Skelton of Birmingham, Ala., close friend of the bride and bridegroom, served as maid of honor. Other attendants were sisters of the bridegroom, Samantha Michelle Blazich of Wetumka, Ala., and Kathryn Alyssa Glass of San Antonio, Texas, cousin of the bride, Casey Kathleen Williams of Epes, Ala., and close friends of the bride and bridegroom, Lauren Boyer Nickerson of Los Angeles, Leigh Curtis Powell of Birmingham, Ala., and Meka Collins Smith of Montevallo, Ala.
Nathan Alan Fisher of Columbus, Ga., close friend of the bride and bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were brother of the bridegroom, Sean Michael Glass, of Phoenix and close friends of the bride and bridegroom Scott Douglas Nickerson of Los Angeles and Darrell Tyler Ward of Birmingham, Ala.
The ring bearer was nephew of the bridegroom, Landon Jackson Sargent of Wetumka, Ala.
Jessica Nicole Rouillard of Auburn, Ala., served as program and guest book attendant.
A reception was held following the ceremony at Sumter Country Club.
After honeymooning on the North Shore of Hawaii, the couple resides in Hoover, Ala.
