Mowdy, Lockley
Emily Shea Lockley and Jason Daniel Mowdy, both of Meridian, were married on Saturday, Aug.18, 2007, at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Murry officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stanley Lockley Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Mowdy, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are John Vincent and the late Frances Vincent and Alice Lockley and the late Charles Lockley Sr.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Joyce Brown and the late Kenneth Brown and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mowdy Sr.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Becky Fulton, pianist; Jay Parker, Holly Thomas and Jeff Jones, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore strapless gown of white silky satin featuring a swirl flower motif that was hand embroidered and beaded along the hemline. The bodice was accented with heavy beading at the waistline and a multi-pleated full skirt fell into a semi-cathedral-length train. Her veil was adorned with crystals, bugle beads, pearls and rhinestones.
Ashley Brown of Meridian was maid of honor. Other attendants were Courtney Hatcher of Meridian, Rebecca Wise of Columbus and Marie Shirley of Heidelberg.
The bridegroom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Reza Bazyari of Quitman; Scott Belvin, Charlie Lockley, brother of the bride, and Aaron Coward, all of Starkville; Jared Mowdy and Tyler Helms, both of Collinsville; and Trey Herrington of Union.
Bubble girls were Hannah Shirley, Bree Adams and Kellis Adams.
Program attendants were Kourtney Johnson and Brooke Mowdy.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony. Assisting were Cheryl Bazyari, Rachel Carr, Ashley Dean,Paige Harper, Morgan Schanrock and Amanda Randall.
After a honeymoon in Destin, Fla., the couple resides in Meridian.
