Rogers, Sims

Deree Michelle Sims and Jason Erbert Rogers, both of Meridian, were married on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan Baysinger officiating.

Parents of the bride are Gary D. and Kathy Sims of Birmingham, Ala., and the late Virginia Bishop Sims of Meridian.

Parents of the bridegroom are Robert Earl and Marlene Neal of Meridian and the late Erbert Rogers.

Grandparents of the bride are T.J. and Loraine Bishop of Meridian and the late Arnold and Lois Sims.

Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Rex and Maggie Lee Marcum and the late Elmer and Eula Rogers of Meridian.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Senita Webb, pianist, and Cindy Barker, organist. Vocals were provided by Randall Sims, brother of the bride.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless ivory satin A-line gown with an embroidered and beaded bodice. The A-line skirt extended into a chapel-length train. She wore a veil of silk illusion edged with pearls and carried a hand-tied bouquet of leonidas, coral and ivory roses.

Kelly McBride of Mathiston was maid of honor. Teresa Tucker, sister of the bride, was honorary attendant. Also attending the bride was Erin Fairbanks of Meridian.

Karley Street and Madisyn Sims, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Molly Katherine Snowden, niece of the bridegroom, served as miniature bride.

Bill McElroy of Toomsuba, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Carlton Brady of Brandon, nephew of the bridegroom, and Wayde Cash and Garrett Cash, both of Meridian and nephews of the bride.

Seth Ward, nephew of the bridegroom, and Brennan Sims, nephew of the bride, were ring bearers. Jerry Glynn “Trey” Tucker III, nephew of the bride, served as miniature bridegroom.

Program attendants were Jacob Baysinger, cousin of the bride, and Dakota Street, nephew of the bride.

A reception was held at Holiday Inn Northeast following the ceremony. Assisting were Sara Ramage, Susan Baggett, Ruth Tucker and Dianne Sims.

After a honeymoon to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Meridian.
