Crawford, Snowden
Katharine Covington Snowden of Meridian and Andrew Thomas Crawford of Jasper, Ala., were married on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Meridian with the Rev. Dr. Raymon Leake officiating.
Parents of the couple are Greg and Renee Snowden of Meridian and Joel and Melissa Gilbert of Jasper and Glenn and Janet Crawford of Kansas City, Mo.
Grandparents of the bride are Ben Campbell of Birmingham, Ala., and the late Elton and Almeta Snowden of Meridian and the late Gay Campbell of Birmingham.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Billie and Allen Fretz of Augusta, Kan., Jim West of El Dorado, Kan., and John and Julienne Kastlaitis of Tonganoxie, Kan.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Barry Germany, pianist; Benjamin Johnson, cellist; Susie Johnson, flautist; Rich Gaddis, trumpeter; and Dr. Gail Hasson, aunt of the bride, organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless tiered diamond white gown made of iridescent taffeta adorned with a sage green sash. She wore a handmade veil designed and made by the bridegroom's mother.
Emily Snowden Dabbs of Carriere, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.
Other attendants were Jenny Campbell of Birmingham, cousin of the bride, Leigh Conn of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Mary Kathryn Covert, LeAnn Naylor and Carrie Jones, all of Meridian.
Bess and Lily Sims, both of Northport, Ala. were flower girls.
Trey Hays of Brilliant, Ala. was best man.
Groomsmen and ushers were Greg Gilbert of Atlanta, brother of the bridegroom, Sam Crawford of Kansas City, brother of the bridegroom, and Matt Dover, Adam Sparks and Mark Roberts, all of Jasper.
Kyle Gordon of Peoria, Ariz., cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the church.
After a honeymoon in Banff, Alberta, Canada, the couple resides in Birmingham.
