Barrios, Neal
Jessica Nicole Neal of Meridian and Ross Steven Barrios of Marrero, La., were married on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Chip Radke officiating. Dr. John Temple, pastor of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, facilitated pre-ceremonial services.
Parents of the couple are Linda Massey Neal of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Barrios of Marrero.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Massey of Meridian.
The bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Barrios of Gretna, La. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Uchello of Harvey, La.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Anne Craven, pianist, and Leslie Braddock, vocalist. Genevieve Dumont presented readings of the Scripture. Program attendants were Amanda Faith Eason, Lauren Elaine Webb and Bianca Jane-Marie Abbott.
Given in marriage by her grandfather, the bride wore a two-piece couture design that featured a fitted bodice of ivory French Alencon lace over latte charmeuse, enhanced with scalloped edging and fashioned with a halter back. The hand-tufted Duchess silk satin skirt complemented the bodice and was highlighted by the designer’s signature sash.
Serving as matron of honor was Jamie Kerley Joyner of Nashville, Tenn. Natalie Ann Villari of Jackson served as maid of honor.
Bridal attendants were Melissa Harrison Killingsworth of Jackson; Andrea Granada Barrios of Harvey; Ashley Ann Walsten of Kenner, La.; and Leia Bigalow Neal, Alesia Brooke Peek and Claire Wilder, all of Meridian.
Flower girl was Kaits McClain, daughter of Kevin and Kristin Kerley.
Ring bearer was Elijah Clell, cousin of the bride and son of Gayle Massey.
The bridegroom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Tyler Lamar Neal of Meridian; Wesley Matthew Plaisance of Metairie, La.; Anthony Joseph Lepetic of St. Louis, Mo.; Benjamin Gordon Guettler of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; Todd Patrick Keanan of Tampa, Fla.; Dylan Roy Meeks of Santa Monica, Calif.; Evan Michael Burke of St. Augustine, Fla.; and Patrick Richard O’Hara, Jamie Joseph Guin, Ryan Ireal Picou, Jonah Joseph Keller, all of New Orleans.
A reception was held at Briarwood Country Club following the ceremony.
