Holmes, Bagley

Lauren Blair Bagley and Austin Wilburn Holmes, both of Meridian, were married on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Raymon Leake officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Scott Bagley and Dr. and Mrs. Edward Harris Holmes, all of Meridian.

Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thomas Blair of Quitman and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wayne Bagley of Meridian.

Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. John Barksdale Holmes of Clarksdale and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sedell Austin of Greenwood.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Barry Germany, pianist; Miriam Chesney, organist; Suzanne Cain, James Seay, vocalists; Susie Johnson, flautist; Charles Gates, trumpeter; Alexander Russakovsky, cellist; and Karen Eastman, James Farley and Sue Lee, violinists.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory couture gown of beaded and embroidered silk organza and Chantilly lace. The elongated bodice flowed into a circular skirt that fell into a chapel-length train. She carried her grandmother's handkerchief tucked into her bouquet and wore the bridegroom's great-grandmother's diamond and sapphire ring.

Maid of honor was Laura Elizabeth Bagley of Meridian, sister of the bride. Other attendants were Callie Ann Bagley of Columbia, Tenn.; Heather Holifield Behringer and Abby Kittrell Morgan, both of Meridian; Alexa Branton Crane of Nashville, Tenn.; Mallory May Davis of Memphis, Tenn.; Mary Katherine Gilmore of Oxford; Holly Holifield Rogers and Brittany Lane Walters, both of Hattiesburg; and Anna Katherine Serpente of Little Rock, Ark.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were, Matthew Reid Davis of Memphis; Robert Joseph Hull of Birmingham, Ala.; Ramon Jordan Jackson III and Charles Evans Tedford, both of Hattiesburg; Thomas Bradford Maley, the bridegroom's brother-in-law, and Michael Stephen Mitchell, both of Madison; Timothy Paul Moe of Ocean Springs; Zachary Neil Moore of Nashville; Patton Thomas Valentine of Bel Air, Calif.; Tommy Shane Vanderford of Starkville; Graham Daniel Behringer and Caleb Odom Bennett, both of Meridian; Michael Ross Gremillion of Metairie, La.; Tyler Jennings Mikel of Tampa, the bridegroom's nephew; Matthew Austin Moore of Oxford; and Stephen Ryan Yelverton of Magee.

Honorary bridesmaids were Olivia Holmes Maley of Madison and Hope Holmes Kennedy of Tampa, sisters of the bridegroom. Proxy bride was Jennifer Russell Gunn of Madison.

Flower girls were Olivia Lockhart Maley and Mattie Grace Mikel, nieces of the bridegroom.

Ring bearer was Thomas Holmes Maley of Madison, nephew of the bridegroom.

Program attendants were Bailey Allen, Ivey Burt, Laura Beth Gilmore and Alli Lucovich, all of Meridian.

A reception was held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony.

After a honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple resides in Meridian.
