Kimberly Janiece Blackwell and Christopher Ryan Knight were married on March 17, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Philadelphia with the Rev. Phillip Griffin of Fort Worth, Texas, officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Blackwell of Union and Mr. and Mrs. Langford Knight of Meridian.
The bride is the granddaughter of Janiece Rigdon of Union and the late Willis Rigdon and the late George Blackwell Sr. and the late Eloise Blackwell of Meridian.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Margaret Knight of Meridian and the late Chestine Knight and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ray Chaney of Meridian.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Angela Griffin, vocalist, and Corey Curvin, musician, both of Fort Worth.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a couture gown featuring a fitted bodice of white English net intricately embellished with silver beading and embroidered lace. The full gathered skirt fell into a chapel-length train.
Tracey Marie Blackwell of Union, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Other attendants were Jennifer Leigh Adcock of Hattiesburg, Jessica Catherine Hill of Jackson and Jessica Robyn Watts of Union.
Hannah Chisolm of Collinsville served as flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Robert Lawrence Daggett of Naperville, Ill., Dustin Joseph Hill and Caleb Wade Luke, both of Meridian, Jeffrey Tyler Knight of Nashville, Tenn., brother of the bridegroom. Braden Chisolm of Union was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club immediately following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple resides in Meridian.
