Skinner, Etheridge

Kara Lynn Etheridge and Jonathan Alexander Skinner were married on March 24, 2007, at Causeyville Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Lowery and Ryan Culpepper, cousin of the bride, officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Etheridge of Causeyville and Mr. and Mrs. Irven Skinner of Duffee.

Grandparents of the bride are Willie and Eloise Hagwood of Causeyville and Ada Lee Etheridge Huff and the late Emerson Etheridge. The bride is also the step-granddaughter of the late Alcus Huff of Meadville.

Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late J.C. and Georgia Alexander of Duffee and the late Winfield and Kasena Skinner of Athens, Ala. The bridegroom is also the step-grandson of Ola Mae Skinner of Athens.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Ann Craven, pianist, and Linda Hagwood, aunt of the bride, vocalist.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless white satin gown with crystal beading, pearls and rhinestones embellishing the bodice, dropped waistline and the detachable chapel-length train. She wore a crystal tiara that her sister-in-law, Brandi Jones Etheridge, wore on her wedding day. The bride also wore her maternal grandmother's blue garter, which has been worn by every bride in her family. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of coral and confetti roses.

LeAnn Culpepper Oliver of Meridian, cousin of the bride, and Brandi Jones Etheridge of Chunky were matrons of honor.

Bridesmaids were Anna Lee Etheridge of Brookhaven, cousin of the bride, and Julie Lowery Hatcher of New Albany.

Megan Oliver of Meridian, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

The bridegroom's brother, Brad Skinner of Memphis, Tenn., served as best man.

Groomsmen and ushers were Jay Etheridge of Meridian and Joey Etheridge of Chunky, brothers of the bride, and Reggie Oliver of Little Rock.

Luke Alexander of Duffee, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

Register and program attendant was Candi Jones Thrash of Decatur.

A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.

Assisting at the reception were Ouida Hagwood, Elaine Spence, Judy Culpepper, Darlene Albanese, Jamie Albanese, Katie Culpepper, Amy Hardy, Jackie Harper, Paige Harper, Mary Hill Shuar and Norma Jean Williams.

After a honeymoon in Birmingham, Ala., and Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple resides in Little Rock.
