• 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. — Make-A-Wish Garage Sale will be held 10165 Lynwood Drive, in the Tanglewood Sub-Division, off Highway 19 North. All proceeds will go to granting wishes in the area.

• 8 a.m.-noon — An open house for Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 56 will be held at the Kendallwood and DAV Building in Highland Park. All veterans are invited to attend. Call (601) 693-3344.

• 9 a.m. — Lauderdale Association of Women Shooters will sponsor a Handgun Safety Class. Call Mildred Thompson at (601) 485-5725 or Dot Davidson at (601) 644-3592 to register and for directions where class will be held.

• 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. — The Collinsville Lions Club will have a fund raiser at the parking lot of Piggly Wiggly in Collinsville. Carry out fish plates will be served for $6 per plate.

• 10:30 a.m. — An education outreach program entitled, "Identity Theft and Protecting Your Credit" will e held at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library. This is sponsored by North Mississippi Rural Legal Services and is free to the public with no registration required.

• 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. — The Annual reunion of Linville High School in Preston will be held at Western Sizzlin Steak House, 1100 North Frontage Road. All students and former teachers and their families are invited. Call Virginia Eldridge at (601) 632-9481 or Thedra Ezelle at (601) 774-8445.

• 2 p.m. — Britt Gully and The Hillbilly Underground will perform at the historical Bloomfield Church on Highway 397 North between DeKalb and Preston. Call Joyce at (601) 677-3903.

• 4:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. — Marvin Weir and the Goodtimers will perform at the Meridian Activity Center, 3300 32nd Avenue. Covered dish dinner served at 6 p.m. They will return to their regular scheduled performances on Nov. 8th.

• 6 p.m.— Quitman Little Opera will hold a fun night for the entire family at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Annex, 108 Westwood Avenue. Line dancing, band and musical performance at 7:30 p.m. Bring a covered dish to share. The admission is $2 and will benefit the Quitman Volunteer Fire Department. • 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. — Computer II Internet and Email class will be held at the Meridian Activity Center, 3300 32nd Avenue. Call (601) 485-1812 to pre-register.
