• Registration for the Boys and Girls Club of East Mississippi is now taking applications for boys and girls ages 5-13 for their annual Fall Youth Football League. Deadline to register is Aug. 22. Call (601) 482-2544.

• Noon - 1 p.m. — Make-A-Wish Volunteer Meeting will be held in the 6th floor conference room at Rush Foundation Hospital. Lunch provided. Call Brenda at (601) 483-8144.

• 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. — The Meridian Artists' Co-op will hold a first birthday celebration reception at the gallery located at 2500 B North Hills Street behind Squealers and next to the Cuttery. Refreshments served. Register to win art pieces. Art demonstrations will be held.

• 6 p.m.— Knights of Saint Andrews will meet at the Meridian Masonic Center, 2311 11th Street.

• 6:30 p.m. — The Dick McWilliams American Legion Post No. 125 and the Auxiliary will hold their monthly meeting at the post building, 6420 Fifth Street. there will be a covered dish dinner and the new officers will be installed for the coming year. Call (601) 986-5545.

• 7 p.m. — The monthly meeting of the Scottish Rite Consistory will meet at the Meridian Masonic Center, 2311 11th Street.
