• 9 a.m.- 11 a.m. — Computer Classes Part I (How To Turn the Dern Thing On!) will be held at the Meridian Activity Center, 3300 32nd Avenue. Call (601) 485-1812 to pre-register.

• 1 p.m. — The Queen City Duplicate Bridge Club will meet at 1 p.m. at the Meridian Activity Center, 3300 32nd Avenue. All duplicate bridge players are welcome.

• 1:30 p.m.- 3 p.m. — Old American Month Bingo will be held at the Meridian Activity Center, 3300 32nd Avenue. Call (601) 485-1812.

• 5:45 p.m. — The Lauderdale County Country Dancers will meet at the Northeast Community Center on Briarwood Road, next to Northeast Lauderdale High School. Clogging will be taught at 5:45 p.m.; line dancing at 6:45 p.m. and with a new beginner class of square dancing at 7:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. Call Carol Hosch at (601) 483-7016.

Saturday, May 10

• 7 a.m. - until — The East Mississippi Master Gardeners will hold their annual plant sale at the Farmer's Market, next to Union Station on Front Street in downtown Meridian. Proceeds will go to scholarships at Meridian Community College and Mississippi State University students in the horticulture programs. Call (601) 737-8435

• 9 a.m. — The Stonewall Historical Society will have a bake sale on Main Street in front of the old company store on Highway 513. Proceeds will go to renovations for the future Stonewall Museum building. Call Vallie Molony at (601) 659-4860 or Oree at (601) 938-4823.
