• 8 a.m.-2 p.m. — Free Test of Adult Basic Education will be held for potential students can be scheduled now through Aug. 8. The testing will be done at Hawkins Career and Technical Building, 1512 Kemper St. at East Mississippi Community College in Scooba.

• 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. — Registration is under way for Summer Program at the Boys and Girls Clubs of East Mississippi, 1717 45th Ave., for children ages five through 18. Call (601) 482-2544. Deadline to register is April 11.

• 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. — AARP Auction and meeting will be held at the Meridian Activity Center, 3300 32nd Avenue. Open to the public. Call (601) 483-7529 or (601) 485-1812.

• 12:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. — Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 3753 19th Street. Call (601) 482-2498 or the 24 hour info/hotline at (601) 527-6669.

• 1 p.m. — East Central Community College will hold tryouts for the Centralettes, the danceline for the Warrior Wall O'Sound Marching band, at the South Campus Gymnasium. • 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. — March for Babies-Bank Day will be in at Citizens National Bank Third Floor, 512 22nd Avenue. This is an opportunity for all fundraising individuals and teams to turn in collected money and pick up prizes before the day of the event. • 6 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. — A seminar for parents, teachers, counselors and others who live or work with children ages 8-10 will be held at Lamar School, 544 Lindley Road, and is open to the public. The topic will be "Start Talking Now: Preventing Underage Drinking" and will be presented by Pace Cooke Emmons from Weems Community Mental Health Care Center. • 7 p.m. — East Central Community College in Decatur will hold its Annual Spring Fine Arts Festival in the Ovid S.Vickers Fine Arts Center. No charge and refreshments will be served.
