Clinton teen faces school bomb threat charge

Associated Press

CLINTON, Miss. —

An 18-year-old student at the Clinton district's Alternative School has been charged in one of the three bomb threats that have been phoned in to Clinton High since last Friday.

Police Chief Mike Warren tells The Clarion-Ledger Raejonn Higginbottom is charged with felony false reporting of placing explosives and weapons of mass destruction. His arrest follows an aggressive investigation by Clinton police and the FBI following the first threat called in last Friday afternoon, with a second threat Monday, then a third on Tuesday.

Warren says more arrests are expected. He said Higginbottom was picked up Thursday at his school.

It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
