Police: Missing Jackson woman found dead

JACKSON, Miss. —

Authorities say a Jackson woman's body was found in North Mississippi on Christmas Eve and a Canton man is facing a murder charge in her death.

Police say Cera White Cannon was last seen around 10 a.m. on Christmas Eve.

Family members tell WJTV Cannon was out doing last minute Christmas shopping.

Thirty-six-year-old Michael Wright is being held in the Panola County Jail on a murder charge.

Authorities have not released details about the case, but say the investigation is ongoing.

It was unclear whether Wright has an attorney.
