Man sentenced to 35 years for killing wife


A 51-year-old Hattiesburg man charged with killing his wife in 2011 has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.
The Hattiesburg American reports Patrick Stephon Lang pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the Sept. 26, 2011, shooting death of his wife, 50-year-old Pamela Lang.
A Forrest County grand jury indicted Lang on a murder charge July 13, 2012, but Lang pleaded down to second-degree murder on Monday.
Judge Bob Helfrich sentenced Lang to 40 years, with 30 to serve in prison and the remainder suspended.
