GULFPORT, Miss. —

A federal judge has sentenced a 37-year-old Moss Point man to 170 months in prison for conspiring to buy several kilos of cocaine in Harrison County.

U.S. District Judge Sul Ozerden sentenced Nikia Danyella Burts on Wednesday.

The prison term will be served concurrently with a 24-month prison term on a probation revocation on a different drug conviction.

The Sun Herald reports Burts is one of three men arrested in November while trying to arrange a deal to buy five kilos of cocaine for $135,000.

Court papers show they planned to buy the cocaine from a man agents described as a confidential source. One of the men planned the deal in a meeting with the source at a D'Iberville restaurant.
