East Mississippi Community College confers 250 degrees

East Mississippi Community College students have graduated and they’re ready to move forward – whether it’s transferring to a four-year college or university or entering the job market.

EMCC’s Golden Triangle campus hosted two graduation ceremonies on May 8 to accommodate the large number of graduates, about 250, and their friends and family members. Career-technical students graduated at 2 p.m.; academic students graduated at 6 p.m. Students from EMCC’s Columbus Air Force Base branch participated in commencement exercises at the Golden Triangle campus.

Graduation at the Scooba campus was Saturday, May 9, at 10 a.m. About 250 graduates were included in this ceremony, which also included students from EMCC’s Naval Air Station Meridian branch.

Some members of the Class of 2009 earned associate’s degrees, while others earned vocational certificates.
