    Nancy Williams went three-for-three with a two-run home run as the Southeast Lauderdale Lady Tigers took game run from Raleigh Tuesday.

    Dori Timms, Caitlyn Duncan and Claire Miller all went two-for-three on the game. Duncan had three RBIs for the Lady Tigers.

    Lauren Yeager Timarra Trussell both went two-for-four.

    Taylor Powell earned the win for Southeast.

Game 2

Raleigh 6

    With Southeast Lauderdale down 6-4 with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, Dori Timms blasted a three-run home run to walk off with a 7-6 victory and clinch a spot in the second round of the playoffs.

    The homer was Timms’ only hit of the night as she led the Tigers with three RBIs. Lauren Yeager also chipped in going two-for-three on the game.

    Taylor Powell earned the win for the Lady Tigers who are now 13-11 on the season.

    Southeast Lauderdale will play the winner of Perry Central vs. Franklin County in the second round on Saturday.

East Webster 3

    Mackenzie Dolan led the Union slow-pitch softball team to a Game 1 victory against East Webster Tuesday as the Yellowjackets took the game 6-3.

    Dolan batted three-for-four with two doubles on the game. Kristen Kennedy and Cassie Smith also had two hits in the win.

Union 0

    East Webster battled back for a Game 2 victory as it shut out Union 13-0.

    Baileigh Mitchell led the Yellowjackets at the plate going two-for-three with a double.


Game 3

    The Union  slow-pitch softball team saw its season come to an end as the Yellowjackets fell 13-7 to East Webster in Game 3 of the opening round of the MHSAA 2A playoffs Tuesday night.

    Cassie Smith led the Yellowjackets at the plate going three-for-four with a double. Averi Pender also a double and went two-for-four .

Brookhaven 4

    Alleijah Echols led Meridian to a Game 1 victory over Brookhaven batting three-for-five with five RBIs.


Game 2

    Despite scoring 18 runs Meridian was unable to clinch a series win in Game 2

    Carlissa Hopkins and Amber Carter had four hits apiece as Meridian advances to Round 2.
