Union just keeps on winning. The Yellowjackets put the first points on the board Friday night versus Choctaw Central and never looked back.
Union's Tre Bogan scored on a 13-yard rush early in the first quarter. The two-point-conversion was no good.
The Yellowjacket offense heated up in the second quarter starting with a 65-yard touchdown run from Adrian Campbell. Bogan pushed in the two-point conversion giving the Yellowjackets a 13-0 lead.
Choctaw Central answered with a 3-yard touchdown run. That would be Choctaw's only point on the night. The extra point was blocked.
Union managed two more scores before the half.
The first was a 28-yard interception returned for a touchdown by a Laviel Wells. The two-point conversion was no good. Union followed up with a 55-yard touchdown pass from Bogan to Campbell. Bogan connected with Jake Rawson on the two-point conversion leaving the score at 27-6 at halftime.
The final Union score came in the third quarter on a 10-yardpass from Bogan to Rawson. The final two-point conversion was no good.
Union walked away with a 34-6 victory and a 2-0 overall record. Choctaw fell to 0-2 overall.
The Yellowjackets will be back in action next week at Sebastopol.
Nanih Wayia 41
Clarkdale suffered a tough 41-6 loss to Nanih Waiya Friday night in prep football action. The game was scoreless at the half.
The Bulldogs' lone score on the night came off a Heath Harris quarterback sneak followed by a missed field goal.
Clarkdale Justin Goodwin racked up 75 yards on the ground to lead the Bulldogs. Spencer Dickerson was close behind with 65 yards rushing.
Austin Thomas led the defense with seven tackles.
Clarkdale looks to get back on track next week hosting Russell Christian.
