West shuts out Leake Central Monday

COLLINSVILLE — Mason Wooldridge got the win for West Lauderdale High School, shutting out Leake Central High School in five innings as the Knights rolled to a 13-0 win Monday.

Wooldridge fanned 11 out of 16 batters he faced and was tossing a perfect game with two outs in the fifth before a batter bunted and beat the throw to first base. He was charged with just the one hit.

Offensively, the Knights had 14 hits, with Will Stokes and Blake Anderson hitting home runs and Colton McKeithen going 3-for-4 with one RBI. Anderson and Stokes both finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Wooldridge had a two-RBI single. Daniel Hill, Fred Franklion and McKain Ortlepp also tallied hits.

Leake fell to 1-2 in district play.
