Clarkdale drops two

CLARKDALE — Clarkdale High School dropped a pair of games Saturday in a 9-6 loss to Tisgah High School and a 7-6 loss to Forest High School.

The Bulldogs’ Dawson Ivey took the loss in the first game, surrendering nine runs on six hits in six innings pitched. He also had two walks and five strikeouts.

Levi Wedgeworth led Clarkdale in hitting in Game 1, finishing 2-for-3 with a double. Parker Chaney went 2-for-4.

In Game 2, Easton Rainer suffered the loss, going 3 1/3 innings and giving up seven runs on five hits with one strikeout and two walks.

Dylan Reeves was 3-for-4 with a double for Clarkdale in the second game, and Wedgeworth finished 2-for-4 with a triple. Brandon Martin went 3-for-4.

Clarkdale (6-5) will host Lake High School Tuesday.
