Northeast Lauderdale tames Tigers

MERIDIAN — Brittany Baty gave up two wins and three walks while striking out nine for Northeast Lauderdale High School in its 9-4 win against Northeast Jones High School in Wednesday night softball action.

    Baty got the win while surrendering just two earned runs in seven innings pitched. She also had a strong night at the plat, hitting two home runs and driving in four runs while tallying four hits on the evening.

    Kaytee Nelson had two hits for the Lady Trojans, one of which was a double.

    Northeast (9-8) will play Green County High School Friday night.
