Tigers find their footing, beat Choctaw Co., 60-42

    The Meridian High School boys' basketball team picked up its first road win of the new season, topping Lainer 73-58.

    The Wildcats put up 20-plus point in three quarters en route to the victory. They were led y Devontae Brewster with 22 points and six rebounds. Joel Baskin put up 14 points. Jontavis Thomas contributed 14 points, eight rebounds and five blocks.

    The Wildcats (2-0) will open at home on Saturday against Starkville at 4:30. The Wildcat girls' will play before hand at 3 p.m.
