TJ shot 7 under for the tournament with a 76 on the first day followed by 68, 67 and a last round 70. Aksel Olsen from Wallace State Community College won the playoff. TJ was named  First Team All-American for his high finish.

TJ's runner-up finish gives the Eagles two national champions and a runner-up in the

last four years.

"TJ is an outstanding, Christian young man and a talented golfer and deserves this

The Eagles finished 16th with district 4 rival Central Alabama Community College

taking top team honors.

Freshmen Dallas Shepard (79, 72, 76, 74) from Madison, MS and Chase Taylor (76, 75,

76, 75) from Columbus, MS tied for 77th. Freshman Nathan Kirkland from Meridian shot

75, 76, 75, 84 to finish 111th and fellow freshman Austin Sparks from Golden, MS

shot 80, 78, 78, 79 to finish 117th.

The Eagles qualified for nationals by shooting the best team score on the last round

at the district tournament held in April.

"I am extremely proud of these guys. We have put in the time and come a long way

this spring. Even more impressive is that they improved their golf game while
