MCC forced to postpone more softball

MERIDIAN — The Meridian Community College softball team will need to wait a few more days to open the 2014 regular season as the weather has claimed another pair of games for the Lady Eagles.

MCC was scheduled to open the 2014 regular season this afternoon at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa with a doubleheader, but the decision has already been made to postpone the games due to poor field conditions.

The Lady Eagles will now open the 2014 regular season next Tuesday at home against Shelton State. The doubleheader is slated for 2 p.m. at Tommy McDonald Field. MCC will continue its home stand to open the season next weekend by hosting the annual Rush Invitational Tournament.
