RCA boys blow past MCA, 71-28

MERIDIAN — The Russell Christian Academy boys basketball team rolled to an easy win in its season opener Thursday night against Macon Central Academy, beating the Vikings 71-28 at home.

    Ashton Temple led the Warriors on the night, scoring a game-high 23 points and 11 rebounds while also recording four blocks and five steals.

    Trey Bolden also had a big night for RCA, compiling 15 points and nine rebounds, while Drake Mckenzie had 14 points and eight rebounds for the Warriors.

    RCA (1-0) will travel to Patrician Academy on Monday. MCA (0-1) will travel to Newton County Academy
