Enterprise softball ties, falls in tourney

MERIDIAN — The Enterprise High School softball team played two games Friday, with one ending in a tie and another in a four-run loss, in the Clarkdale Spring Fling Tournament.

The Lady Bulldogs ended their game with Poplarville High School tied 3-3. Emmalee Roberts pitched all six innings for Enterprise, surrendering three runs — two earned — on two hits with four strikeouts and a walk.

Delaney Davidson and Jess Turner each had an RBI for the Lady Bulldogs, whose third run came on a wild pitch.

In Game 2, Enterprise fell to Lake Cormorant, 4-0. Roberts took the loss, going all five innings and giving up four runs — none earned — on six hits. She also had two walks.

Lake Cormorant pitcher Adrianna Morgan pitched a perfect game for her team.
