Lady Warriors fall to Pickens Academy, 5-2

MERIDIAN — Payton Lippert’s strong night on the mound was not enough for Russell Christian Academy as the Lady Warriors fell to Pickens Academy, 5-2, Tuesday.

Lippert took the loss for Russell Christian, pitching all seven innings and giving up two earned runs on five hits. She also walked four and struck out 13 Pickens Academy batters. At the plate, she finished the game 2-for-4 with a double.

Russell Christian (2-3) will play a doubleheader Thursday at Southern Academy.
