MCC continues winning ways

MERIDIAN — The Meridian Community College Eagles continued its recent streak of success by taking a 4-2 victory over Bossier Parish Community College Saturday afternoon at Smith-Wills Stadium in Jackson, MS.

    MCC pushed its overall record to 18-26 with the victory over the Cavaliers and have now three straight games over the past week.

    Mac Seibert led the Eagles at the plate with a two-run double, while former Meridian High standout Luke Stanley added an RBI single in the victory.

    Freshman Kevin Hall also picked up an RBI in the victory with a single.

    MCC will return to action Sunday afternoon with a single game on the road at Shelton State Community College.            

The first pitch against the Buccaneers is set for 1 p.m.
