Southeast baseball gets win vs. Clarkdale

MERIDIAN — Nathan Ross got the win for Southeast Lauderdale, pitching four shutout innings, as the Tigers blanked Clarkdale High School, 7-0, in the Lauderdale County Classic Friday.

Ross gave up no runs on three hits while issuing three walks and striking out three. Clarkdale’s Levi Wedgeworth took the loss for the Bulldogs

Mason Irby had a double for Southeast Lauderdale, and Austin Quigley finished the game 3-for-4. Clarkdale’s Josh Collum went 2-for-3.

Southeast Lauderdale will play West Lauderdale High School at 1 p.m. today in the classic, while Clarkdale will square off against Northeast Lauderdale at 3:30 p.m.
