MHSAA baseball championships returning to Trustmark Park

MERIDIAN —     The MHSAA state baseball championships will return to Trustmark Park in Pearl for the 2013 season. This year's best-of-three series are scheduled for May 22-25.

"We are excited about Trustmark Park hosting all of our state championship baseball games," MHSAA executive director Don Hinton said. "Our schools and fans have enjoyed the opportunity to play and watch games at the home of the Mississippi Braves. It's great the schedule worked out to allow this to happen."

Trustmark Park hosted the State Championship series in their entirety from 2006-2010 before the Conference USA tournament made its two-year run at the Double-A facility that seats 5,500.

"Spectrum Events takes great pleasure in hosting the MHSAA baseball championship for 2013," Spectrum Executive VP Stephen King said. "We feel most honored to work with the association for this remarkable competition.”
