MHS wins again, edges Brandon

MERIDIAN —     The Meridian High boys basketball team won its seventh straight and second in two days as the Wildcats edged Brandon 62-58 Saturday at the Ridgeland Shootout.

    MHS, which improved to 12-2, was led by Devontae Brewster’s 23 points. Torlorf Thomas added 13 and Dennis Miles, a Dandy Dozen selection by the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, finished with 12.

    The Wildcats return to action Wednesday at the Converse Invitational in Atlanta.
